Toughies are a rock and roll band from Lawrence Kansas who blend the classic sounds of early pop, soul, R&B, and americana to perfection. There’s something special about a band that can write in the style of many great songwriters before them while at the same time bringing a refreshing atmosphere to the material. They’re not really breaking new ground….nor are they setting out to. They are barreling 100 miles per hour down a road of tradition with instruments blazing and carrying a very heavy bag of catchy guitar pop songs that you will absolutely have trouble getting out of your head.
