Miss Boating may be new to you but the roots of keyboard and guitar player Charlie Colborne and drummer Bill Belzer’s collaboration go back a few years to a band called The Sleazebeats. They became Miss Boating in 2019 when the amazing Phil Dickey joined the band on bass. The addition of Tim Gillespie on tenor sax and Aaron Jones on trombone opened up crazy possibilities to their songs and have given the band a new axis from which to write. On New Year’s Day 2020 they released a 5 song collection called ‘The Vhargon Sidestep’.
